September 9, 7 p.m.  Jim Lane will be our guest speaker discussing Major Ripley Arnold and his importance to Fort Worth. Lane will also discuss some of the highlights of the Trinity River Vision and what we can look forward to in the near future.

October 14, 7 p.m.   Richard Womack will speak about North Fort Worth and his new book, “Ride the Ranger Winds”. Richard grew up on Fort Worth's north side when the stockyards were still active. He owned his own outdoor advertising service company, Media Display, servicing billboard advertising companies throughout South Texas. Perhaps, due to his respect for Native Americans, Richard's favorite pastime is the sport of archery.

The Schools of North Fort Worth
Learn about the history of North Fort Worth Schools—
Did you know there were several schools districts here: North Fort Worth ISD, Rosen Heights ISD and Diamond Hill ISD. All were independent. Fort Worth ISD assimilated all ISDs on the Northside in 1909 when Fort Worth annexed all of the Northside except the stockyards area (Niles City also had its own school district).
