1936 Palace Theater

When the Palace Theater was remodeled in 1936, our old light bulb had been burning backstage for about 28 years non-stop.

The Palace Theater, built in the golden age of movie houses was indeed a Palace. Even in the middle of the Great Depression, the theater held an elegant opening and the program was a superb 15 page booklet of high artistic value complementing the Art Deco style of the theater itself.

The Palace is now just a memory, but the great old light bulb is still at the front of the stage . . .
